ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Pakistan are on the verge of elimination as they have lost two matches in a row. Against India, they almost won the match but the Indian bowlers made a solid comeback and snatched the victory from them while chasing 120 runs. Pakistan is playing like amateurs and has no team spirit to win games lack of planning, lack of concentration everything is missing in the camp.
Wasim Akram slams Pakistan
After a shameful loss against the USA Pakistan faced many backlashes and started trolling over their performances then in the next match against India almost they conquered the match but the Indian bowlers spoiled the party. Now more trolling has increased on social media regarding their performance so people are not happy about their game. Former Pakistan bowler Wasim Akram slams the Pakistan team for their defeat against India, he says:
“Iftikhar Ahmed knows one shot on the leg side. He has been a part of the team for years but doesn’t know how to bat. I can’t go and tell you about the game awareness of Fakhar Zaman. Pakistani players think that if they don’t perform well, the coaches will be sacked, and nothing will happen to them. It is time to keep the coaches and change the entire team,”
Since nothing went well in the Pakistan camp after Shaheen Shah Afridi resigned as captain and later also said that he didn’t want the deputy captain’s responsibility and so the atmosphere was not at all good and so they forgot to perform on big stages. In 2022, Pakistan qualified for the finals and remained runners-up against England.
Wasim Akram slams Mohammed Rizwan
Mohammed Rizwan is also one of the leading batters for Pakistan after Babar Azam but he is also facing some issues while batting though he is scoring runs aggression is missing and this format needs aggression and percentage cricket. Against India, he was looking in a solid touch but one shot which he missed and hit the stumps against Bumrah was not the proper shot selection so legendary Wasim Akram bangs on Mohmmed Rizwan he says:
“They have been playing cricket for 10 years, and I can’t teach them. Rizwan has no game awareness. He should have known that Bumrah was given the ball to take wickets and that the wise thing would have been to play his deliveries cautiously. But Rizwan went for a big shot and lost his wicket.”
Pakistan will be facing Canada on June 11 and it will be a must win match for Pakistan and need to win by a big margin.
