ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 has taken a flying start with cult-classic matches filled with low-scoring thrillers and intense close encounters just like the match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh was filled with suspense and till last over n0-one could imagine Bangladesh would take over the match.

Bangladesh had restricted Sri Lanka to just 124 and felt Bangladesh would chase it down easily but low-scoring matches are always entertaining, in the city of Dallas we witnessed something that is nothing new for cricket fans a low-scoring thriller. Bangladesh started their campaign with a win and Sri Lanka was almost knocked out of the tournament after suffering two losses consecutively.

“I don’t think I have ever played such a pressure match in my career. I am just happy that we won the game,” Shanto said in the post-match presentation.

“The way everyone showed their body language, I am really happy,” Najmul added. “Everyone gave their 120%. For the last 10-15 days, we have been planning all the things, and fielding has been good. It wasn’t easy (the chase) but it was a really good wicket. Litton was struggling in the last few weeks, he showed his class today. Hridoy is courageous. Happy with the crowd, I hope they’ll come again,”

Bangladesh is next scheduled to face South Africa at the Nassau County International Stadium in New York on Monday, June 10. This T20 World Cup has witnessed two super overs some incredible moments records being broken and uncountable entertainment just one week has passed to commence the World Cup but some more actions are awaiting us.
