ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 India are through to the final and they will face South Africa on June 29. India won the match by 68 runs and sidelined England completely. Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav stood for India and registered a 73-run partnership which helped India to register 171 onboard. Later bowlers did their job and made the win even easier.
Rahul Dravid expects Virat Kohli to hit big
India has performed well and so they remain unbeaten all are praising and expect to win the trophy but one concern we saw in this World Cup was Virat Kohli’s failure to score big, he hasn’t performed well and so his game is not up to the mark, still he made 37 runs and 24 against Afghanistan and Bangladesh but once again he lost his wicket quite early Reece Topley dismissed Virat Kohli after smashing a great six. Virat has struggled a lot in New York too he was not in his rhythm and strings of low scores continued. Till now he has scored just 75 which doesn’t suit this player, but India’s head coach Rahul Dravid backs Virat Kohli and feels he will hit big in the final. Rahul Dravid said:
“You know with Virat, the thing is, when you play a slightly high-risk brand of cricket there can be times when it doesn’t come off. Even today, I thought he hit a good 6 to set the tempo but he was just unlucky that the ball seemed a little bit more. But I love the intent, I love the way he went about doing it. It sets a good example for the group as well if he’s willing to do it”.
“And you know, for some reason, I don’t want to jinx it but I think there’s a big one coming up. I’m just loving his attitude and that he’s committing himself on the field – I think he deserves it”.
Virat Kohli is the highest leading run-getter in T20 World Cup history, hope he will rise to the occasion and India will lift the trophy.
