ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 USA and Ireland match washes out and the luck for Pakistan even washes out as they are now officially eliminated from the tournament including Ireland and Canada.
Pakistan’s World Cup campaign was disastrous since starting before arriving in the USA they lost the series against England so they didn’t have any warm-up match as it had washed out due to rain. In the very first match, they faced a loss against hosts USA which was very shameful, and then arch-rivals India thrashed them in a close encounter.
Ahmed Shehzad slams Pakistan
Pakistan needs to forget this World Cup they made a lot of mistakes in every department, and skipper Babar Azam didn’t make a strong plan to back their players or some strategies that would work. The whole team showed no mercy towards the game and took everything leniently which cost them badly. Former Pakistan player Ahmed Shehzad bangs on Pakistan for their worst World Cup performance ever. Ahmed Shehzad says:
“The deserving team is through to the Super 8 round. If you’re depending on Ireland to defeat someone, you seriously don’t deserve to qualify. Don’t think even “Kudrat Ka Nizam” works for those who are not deserving or ready to improve. All eyes on PCB chairman now.”
Pakistan who are former champions of the t20 World Cup 2009 under the leadership of Shahid Afridi, Pakistan team used to be fearless and powerful bowlers who scared the batters with their fast bowling but today that energy and enthusiasm has lost and no competition is seen from this team so they lack way behind and results are in front of us. Pakistan needs to gear up after a forgetful campaign and start fresh. Pakistan was runners-up in the 2022 T20 World Cup final against England.
PCB Chairman speaks on Pakistan’s performance
Pakistan’s chairman Mohsin Naqvi taunts Pakistan for their performance in World Cup 2024, he mentions the loss against the USA and India and says that we need to go beyond these players now as they need major surgery. He said:
“I thought the team required minor surgery to start winning matches but now it appears that we have to go for major surgery. It is very disappointing the way we lost to the USA and now this loss to India. We need to start looking at players beyond those in the team right now.”
Even now the board’s chairman also teases you then it’s high time to take a break refresh your mind and start fresh so that it won’t affect the game even if it’s shameful when fans and other people like the chairman troll or speak negatively about your game so as a player who you should take-in but also need to ignore to and move-on.
