ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 England secured their spot in the semi-final after thrashing USA. England needed just 115 runs to chase which was completed quite early so they booked their spot in the semis. Chris Jordan became another bowler to pick a hat trick in the T20 World Cup.
Jos Buttler bolstered his innings and smashed 83 runs which boosted England’s batting power ahead of the semis. England will be more powerful as they have a golden chance to defend the title.
Chris Jordan praises Jos Buttler
England won the match against the USA with 10 wickets in hand and so they secured their place in the semi-final. Jos Buttler took charge with the bat and scored 83 runs. England will be the most destructive team in the semis so other teams should be alerted. Chris Jordan was the hero of the match and picked 4 wickets in that his hat trick too was included. So Chris Jordan said at a press conference:
“I wouldn’t describe it as a relief at all, because I mean seeing him doing it on so many occasions; he is the leader of the group in every single way. He’s our best player, that’s for sure, and then when he’s in that mode, we tend to follow it. So yeah, that was just a Jos special today,” Jordan said in the post-match press conference.
“You get to a point where maybe you could even think that it is just normal, but you have to take a step back and realize how special he is and how lucky we are to have him on our side. So, glad I’m not bowling at him,” Jordan added.
Chris Jordan was replaced by Mark Wood which was a positive change for England and maybe England won’t make any changes in the XI. Semis bound will be even more thriller and exciting.
