For the forthcoming T20 World Cup, captain Babar Azam has received a new challenge from former Pakistani cricketer Basit Ali. Babar Azam has once again been named captain after playing in a series that ended in a 2-2 draw at home against New Zealand. Babar will captain his team in a series against England and Ireland before the 2024 World Cup.

Before the highly anticipated T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and the US, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revived its senior national men’s team. Imad Wasim and Mohammad Amir came out of retirement to bolster the team. At the same time, Babar Azam, who had resigned from his position following the ODI World Cup failure, was named captain once again.

Babar has historically received negative feedback about his ability and style of play from both the management and the fans. To give you an idea of how his T20 career has gone, he has played 114 matches, scoring 3823 with three hundred and thirty-four fifties and a strike rate of 130.

Why Babar Azam is the reason behind Basit Ali’s decision to close his YouTube channel

On his YouTube channel, former Pakistani cricket player Basit Ali challenges captain Babar Azam to hit straight sixes for the heavy teams instead of slightly weaker teams like the USA and Ireland. If he does so, he will shut down his YouTube channel.

“I’m challenging Babar Azam. If he hits three straight sixes against the top teams, not against USA or Ireland, the top-tier teams in the World, I will shut my YouTube channel,”
