Shaheen Shah Afridi is the leading bowler for Pakistan and has produced many such performances which has helped Pakistan to win games. He debuted in 2020 for Pakistan and from there he never looked back and kept performing. Shaheen Afridi had a bad World Cup which turned out to be disastrous for Pakistan and so they got knocked out of the tournament. There were no proper plans or executions from the team that would help them. First two matches they had a nightmare and so it affected their minds.

Harbhajan Singh praises Shaheen Afridi

Shaheen Afridi is an asset for the team and the bowling unit is incomplete without him. Past 4 years he has produced his importance and so he is an important bowler for Pakistan. Being a left-arm pacer it’s an advantage for him to swing properly and makes it easy to trap batsmen. His yorkers are perfectly bowled and so many batters can’t judge his yorkers.

Pakistan currently going through a leaning patch after a forgetful campaign in World Cup 2024, even Shaheen Afridi had a bad World Cup with the bowl couldn’t perform well and so he felt bad for this, but former spin wizard ‘The Turbanator’ Harbhajan Singh praises Shaheen Afridi for his excellent spell against Ireland. He bowled 3/22 and was adjourned as Man Of the Match. Every player faces ups and downs and it’s part and parcel of our life, whenever any big player comes with great expectations and can’t perform well then he is targeted by audiences and so he faces backlashes and trolls. While praising Harbhajan Singh said:

“Shaheen Afridi bowled well. He came in proper form slightly late in this tournament. Their tournament is over but this match would give him confidence for sure. A big player feels bad when he doesn’t perform as per expectations,” he said.

“However, he will feel better today as he did a job where both he and his team will feel nice. As he said, their focus will be on the future. They will reflect on whatever has happened, rectify their mistakes, and move forward,” Harbhajan stated.

“There was a lot of help from the pitch but despite that, you have to pitch the ball at the right spot, from where the ball goes and hits the stumps or the pads. He generally bowls those deliveries. He bowled a very good ball (to Andy Balbirnie), which was far from the bat and it got a chance to swing,” he explained.

“After that, he took the ball away. He was like a sword that cuts from both sides – the first ball came in and the second ball went away. When the batter was waiting for an incoming delivery, the ball went out. When the earlier batter was waiting for the ball to move away, it came in. After that, he bowled a yorker,” Harbhajan observed.

Shaheen Afridi got two wickets in an over and he felt Shaheen Afridi was back so he bowled an economical spell which made him Man of the Match let’s hope that Pakistan will be back on track after a tragic World Cup.
