South Africa has kickstarted their World Cup campaign on a superior note, winning both their matches so far which saw them piling a mountain of runs against Sri Lanka and then the South Africa bowling out the revered Australian batting lineup under 200.

Their batters have been in sublime form with Quinton de Kock notching up 2 hundred, Rassie Van Der Dussen with a hundred and half-century along with Aiden Markram who smashed the record for the fastest hundred in World Cup cricket.

South Africa will play the Netherlands in their next game, with a win guaranteeing them a spot back on the top of the table. Skipper Temba Bavuma’s form is probably the only concern for the Proteas, with Bavuma failing to convert his starts to big scores. Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra felt that the South African team has been playing on a different level as has been visible in their manner of victories.

They will once again show you extremely exciting and entertaining batting because they are going in a different league – Aakash Chopra

The cricketer-commentator was speaking on his YouTube channel and gave his analysis of the South African team. Aakash Chopra felt that the success of the proteas is on the back of the exciting and entertaining brand of batting they have showcased so far. He went on to add that India and South Africa are playing on a different level.

“Temba Bavuma hasn’t scored runs thus far and it seems like he will also do that today. They will once again show you extremely exciting and entertaining batting because they are going in a different league. New Zealand have also won three matches but India and South Africa are playing a different level of cricket” said Aakash Chopra.

The cricketer-commentator gave an overview of South Africa’s fixture against the Netherlands and said that the Proteas are likely to field a four-pronged pace attack and might not play both their spinners in Dharamshala with Gerald Coetzee returning. Chopra also said that the Netherlands has a strong team and is not to be taken lightly.

“They have the Netherlands in front of them. They are not a bad team. Vikramjit Singh played well in one match. Max O’Dowd hasn’t fired thus far. Scott Edwards bats well. Bas de Leede scored 67 runs in the first match, Bat first if you win the toss, don’t chase, because if you decide to bowl first, you might end up chasing 400 – Aakash Chopra
