World Champions England lost their confidence after losing against Afghanistan in the 2023 World Cup. Things are now a bit difficult for them, but former Indian batter Aakash Chopra feels England will find a way to qualify for the top four. In his latest video, while reviewing England’s match against Afghanistan, Aakash Chopra expressed that England’s batting will be fine and they will find a way to qualify for the top four.
In the three matches played, England only managed to win one match, and they lost two matches. In the opening encounter, their bowling let them down, and against Afghanistan, batters could not chase 285 runs; hence, England lost by 69 runs.

Aakash Chopra was seen speaking on his You Tube channel and was quite optimistic that England will qualify for Semi Finals despite losing the clash against Afghanistan. Aakash Chopra pointed out that England’s batting might fire in the ODI WC 2023.
“Will England qualify for the top four? They have made the job a bit difficult for them, but I feel they will. I feel they will find a way to the top four. At some stage, their batting will fire, for sure,” said Aakash Chopra.
“I don’t think England has a rockstar bowling team that will do an amazing job, but I think they will manage things. So, England should qualify for the semis. India, New Zealand, and South Africa are looking for the best teams. I am assuming the fourth team will be either England or Australia, but let’s see what happens now,” he said.
Steep road ahead for England
England lost their very first match against the Kiwis; they could not put a big total and got stunned very badly. In the second match, they won there, and in the third match, Afghanistan beat them in all three departments, giving them a setback of 69 runs.
Their batting let them down, and their ace player Ben Stokes missed the action in the first three matches because of his injury. In future matches, he will be in the middle of the list of World Champions. Their bowling has also never looked sharp in the tournament so far. They have quality players in their team, and all the boxes are filled. They need to contain the things and give their best for the team.
