England & New Zealand are all set to lock horns for a 3 T20I match series and 4 ODIs commencing from 30th August. Ross Taylor feels that England is still the mecca of cricket. Ross Taylor opined that conditions in England are quite testing.

New Zealand would be keen to find their winning combination. The left-arm pacer Trent Boult would be keen to dictate the terms and make a statement that he is not done yet. He along with Tim Southee make a wonderful bowling pair as we can expect a cracker of white ball leg contest between the two series.

England is the best tour to go on- Ross Taylor

Ross Taylor was having an interaction with ESPNcricinfo and stated that England is still a great place to play cricket and pointed out the best tours to go on as well. Ross Taylor then recalled his memories at England and was quite delighted and said that you understand the game more deeply when you get older.

“[A] hundred-odd Tests later, [England is] still a great place to play cricket — probably one of the best tours to go on. Obviously being in a bubble is going to be a bit strange. Thirteen years ago, fond memories of that tour and still to date one of the best innings I’ve played in Manchester in the second Test,” said Ross Taylor.

“It’s part and parcel of being an international cricketer. More is made of it when you get older. If you get a calf or a hamstring injury at 32, nothing’s made of it, but when you’re 37, there’s a few more headlines, but it is what it is, and I’m comfortable with where I’m at,” he added.

Steep Road ahead for England

England don’t have a promising record in the ODIs ever since the 2019 ODI WC triumph. The side recently lost the ODI series against Australia & South Africa as the lower middle order hasn’t performed according to their credentials which is a concern for the side,

The management would be considering promoting Moeen Ali up the order as the left-handed batter is someone who can make an impact with his brisk stroke-play as well as can play the waiting game which is priceless in modern cricket. England cricket team can’t afford to experiment anymore and should stick to one combination.
