BAN vs PAK: Fakhar Zaman And Bowlers Take Pakistan To A Terrific Victory

A fiery spell by the Pakistan fast bowlers and a blistering knock of 81 runs by Fakhar  Zaman guided Pakistan to a commanding victory over Bangladesh they won by 7 wickets with more than 15 overs to spare. Bangladesh are officially out of the World Cup they lost 6 games in a row and there is no looking back for them.

Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat first against Pakistan at the Eden Gardens in their quest to push for a semifinal berth Pakistan made 3 changes in their lineup. Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf rattled Bangladesh’s top order. Shaheen Afridi reached the milestone of 100th ODI wicket

Bangladesh picked up the pace after the end of 14 overs as Litton and Mahmudullah brought Bangladesh back into the game with a partnership of 79 runs for the 4th wicket Litton dos departed for a well-made 45 off 64 balls with 6 fours he tried to play across the line but ends up getting a leading edge, which goes straight into the hands of Agha Salman at short mid-wicket.

Shaheen Afridi was introduced back into into the attack and he provided Pakistan with a breakthrough immediately with his length ball, which nipped back straight towards the middle stump. Mahmudullah tries to play it across the line but doesn’t get any connection and the ball crashes onto the stumps.

Towhid Hridoy hits Usama Mir for a six and he is out on the very next ball. Gets an outside edge, which is caught by Iftikhar Ahmed at slips. He was dismissed for 7 runs and all of a sudden, Bangladesh was in a precarious position which astonished everyone.

Haris Rauf came back for his second spell in the 41 over and ended Shakib Al Hasan’s resistance. The pacer bangs in a short ball, which Shakib tries to pull but mistimes it. The ball flies in the air and Agha Salman somehow manages to hold on to it. Captain departed for 43 runs off 64 balls with 4 fours.

Mohammad Wasim Jr struck twice in the same over and completed the job for Pakistan as Bangladesh bundled out for 204 in just 45.1 over. Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Wasim Jr picked up 6 wickets between them for just 54 in 20 overs Haris Rauf too chipped in with 2 wickets for 36 in his 8 overs

Fakhar Zaman and Abdullah Shafique’s opening stand takes Pakistan to an easy win

Shafique scored a brilliant half-century and departed for 68 runs off 69 balls with 9 fours and 2 sixes as Mehidy Hasan Miraj provides Bangladesh with a much-needed breakthrough. It was yet another failure  for Pakistan skipper Babar Azam as he departed for just 9 off 16 balls played a bad shot  caught at long-on.

Fakhar Zaman is the top scorer for Pakistan as he scored a brilliant 81 runs off 74 balls with 3 fours and 7 sixes Mohammad Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed guide Pakistan home as they complete the 205 chase in 32.3 overs Mehidy Hasan Miraz is the only wicket-taker for Bangladesh finished with the figures of 3 for 60 in his 9 overs.
