AUS vs SA: Quinton De Kock And Bowlers Hand Proteas An Easy Win Over The Depleted Australia

Quinton de Kock and the bowlers handed South Africa a comfortable victory over Australia as they won by 134 runs. Quinton de Kock continued his purple patch and struck yet another barnstorming ton in ODI WC 2023. Kagiso Rabada is the star with a ball he takes 3 vital wickets which make sure Australia is down and out.

It was a forgettable day for Australia, especially for the fielders as they dropped 6 catches on the field.

Australia have won the toss and they have opted to field first against South Africa at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Stadium in Lucknow. Australia have made a couple of changes, with Marcus Stoinis and Josh Inglis in and they have replaced Cameron Green and Alex Carey. For South Africa, Tabraiz Shamsi comes in for Gerald Coetzee.

South Africa got to a cautious start with the bat as  Temba Bavuma and   Quinton de Kock gave a steady start to the innings. The duo completed the century partnership for the opening wicket before Temba Bavuma departed for 35 off 55 balls with 2 fours.

Quinton de Kock continued his dream run as he scored his second consecutive hundred in this edition of the World Cup. He became one of the highest run-getters against Australia for the South Africa.

A cameo from Marco Jansen helped Proteas as he scored 26 off 22 balls with 3 fours and six. Maxwell’s superb spell He was brought into the attack when the pacers were beginning to get targeted by Quinton de Kock and he’s been Australia’s pick of the bowlers this evening, pulling a pin on the run rate and nabbing a couple of wickets for Australia he finished with 2 for 34 in his 10 overs.

Hazlewood used the conditions to his advantage as he picked up a vital wicket of Klaasen finished With 1 for 60 in 9 overs. Starc made a strong comeback in the final over as he picked up 2 wickets of Miller and Jansen to restrict South Africa to 311 for 7 in their 50 overs

South Africa got to a fantastic start as the opening bowlers troubled the Australian openers with perfect line and length as they picked up 3 wickets in a power play for just 50 runs.

Bowlers dismantled the Australian batting order

Lungi Ngidi bowled a perfect spell with great line and length and the Australian batsman was clueless he applied pressure on them with an economical spell and finished with 1 for 18 in 8 overs at an economy of   just 2.2 runs per over

Keshav Maharaj extracted turn from the pitch by bowling slower through the air and finished with 2 for 30 in his 10 overs Jansen too picked up 2 wickets but little expansive as he gave away 54 runs in just 7 overs at an economy of 7.7 runs per over.

Kagiso Rabada dismantled the Australian top order with his brilliant spell as he picked up 3  vital wickets he finished with 3 for 33 in his 8 overs. Tabraiz Shamsi cleaned up the tail as he picked up the final two wickets of Australia to finish with the figures of 2 for 38 in 7.5 over
