In a recent conversation with SENQ Breakfast, a Former Aussie wicket-keeper Ian Healey told he would prefer Josh Hazelwood over Michael Neser. Josh Hazlewood hasn’t been given a long rope as the pacer is quite injury prone.
“I think (Josh) Hazlewood will go in and probably deserves to go in now that he’s back on the field for Boland,” said Ian Healey.
He also added, “If something happens then or someone needs a rest, I think he (Neser) will probably leapfrog Boland back into the fifth Test. It’s good to be in good form.”
Michael Neser performing outclass in county matches.
The 33-year-old Neser, who plays for Glamorgan, scored 176 not out against Leicestershire, just after his knock of 123 against Sussex.
Also with the ball, he took an impressive 19 wickets at an average of 25.63. With his tremendous performance, he has made an impressive contender for himself for the fourth Ashes Test, which begins at Old Trafford on July 19.
Josh Hazelwood is Ian Healey’s first choice

Ian made the point that if Neser is selected, the Aussie will have a shorter tail, and the batting will become stronger. With Cummins, Neser, and Starc in the team, batting becomes strong. However, with Mark Wood’s current form, no tail will like to bat against him.
Ian Healey stated, “It can be (hard), so we might need some batting,”
